S-Curves is an online literary journal featuring work by Topanga Canyon writers. We also sponsor and co-sponsor literary events in the canyon. S-Curves publishes works of short fiction, literary non fiction, poetry, and excerpts from longer works and works-in-progress. Photographers and artists are also welcome to submit work.
While preference is giving to writers & artists living and working in Topanga, submissions from Elsewhere are also welcome, subject to space available.
ABOUT TOPANGA CANYON:
Tucked into a secluded canyon between Santa Monica and Malibu, Topanga Canyon has been an iconic creative community of culture-defining (and culture-defying) writers, artists and musicians since the 1960s.
In addition to editing S-Curves and working on her own fiction and literary nonfiction writing, Faith Currant is a professional Hollywood script doctor, known especially for writing strong female characters and smart, edgy comedy. As such, she’s often called in as an hired gun to “punch up” scripts by adding “snark” (aka sharp banter a la West Wing, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, etc.). Faith also did time as a motion picture development executive and political strategist before escaping to go back to writing full time. Faith is also the founder of the Animal Advocacy Project, dedicated to helping people who help animals.
Faith lives in the canyon with her dog, River, and Moe, the coolest cat in the universe.
